All delivery dates are subject to EU laws on driving time. We can confirm the timing prior to any booking.
European Premium Service
A direct service combines Matthew James’ service of excellence with the added advantage of a dedicated collection date and express delivery timescale. Handling of your effects is minimised as they remain on the same vehicle throughout. Although your delivery will be carried out in conjunction with other clients consignments, this means you will share the cost of the vehicle and your consignment will be prioritised for onward delivery typically within 7-10 days of collection.

Cannes is situated on the stunning coastline of the French Riviera in the south of France. Its population of roughly 80,000 people is considerably increased in the summer months when many tourists arrive in Cannes to bask in its rich culture and beautiful climate. The city is also liveliest during May when the world-famous Cannes Film Festival takes place. While most of Cannes’s population are French, the city is also home to many expats from all over the world attracted by the Film Festival as well as its prosperous economy and spectacular natural beauty. French is the official language of Cannes although local dialects such as Maritim and Occitan are also spoken. As it is a cosmopolitan city, expats moving to Cannes can expect English to be broadly spoken but learning even a little French will make life in this great city significantly easier.
Like the rest of the French Riviera, Cannes enjoys a balmy Mediterranean climate. Consequently, expats moving to Cannes can look forward to mild weather all year round. Cannes also experiences very little rainfall, with as little as 100mm falling in its wettest months between October and November. With average temperatures of around 25°C in the summer – highs of between 30°C to 32°C – and very mild winters it is no real surprise that Cannes is one of the most sought-after relocation destinations in the world.
As France is a member of the EU you will not need a visa to relocate to Cannes if you are a UK citizen. However, anyone living or travelling in France must be able to prove their identity using a valid passport, a photo driving license or other official documentation that is provided by a government body. Once you are in Cannes, you will need to register with your local CPAM in order to obtain a social security card for health care, called a “Carte Vitale”.
