European Dedicated Service
A dedicated service gives you the flexibility to choose your collection and delivery dates. This service guarantees the Matthew James service of excellence and peace of mind that your moving dates can be fixed, allowing you the convenience to make travel arrangements and plan your arrival. All delivery dates are subject to EU laws on driving time. We can confirm the timing prior to any booking.
European Premium Service
A direct service combines Matthew James’ service of excellence with the added advantage of a dedicated collection date and express delivery timescale. Handling of your effects is minimised as they remain on the same vehicle throughout. Although your delivery will be carried out in conjunction with other clients consignments, this means you will share the cost of the vehicle and your consignment will be prioritised for onward delivery typically within 7-10 days of collection.

Reasons to relocate to Madrid
Put your worries about travelling to one side, the city is absolutely great at providing public transport services. It is equipped with an excellent metro system, and the high-speed rail network connects the city to the rest of the country with ease. The bus network is a great (and cheaper) alternative, especially when it is noted that driving is not recommended in the city. There are limited parking spaces and Spanish drivers are notoriously aggressive on the road. This might put you off cycling, even though the city has made some major improvements to its cycle network.
Family friendly neighbourhoods include Chamberi, just southwest of Salamanca. This child oriented district closes its major street and square every Sunday to allow the kids to roam free without the fear of being knocked over. Barrio de las Letras is a slice of old Madrid, with loads of tapas bars and nightspots. Salamanca Barrio is the upmarket part of the city, and Triball, just north of Calle Gran Via, is the up and coming part of the city. Whilst Spain provided free state education, there are still great international alternatives such as The Hastings school and the International School of Madrid.
It goes without saying that there are plenty of things to do in Madrid. You can enjoy art and markets at Matadero Madrid (a converted slaughterhouse), or take in the best views of the city from Círculo de Bellas Artes, which is an cultural epicentre in the city. Romantics will want to stroll through El Capricho park in the Barajas district, or go to Cerro del Tío Pío and watch the sun set of the city. Oner of the most important pieces of art, Picasso’s ‘Guernica’ can be seen at the Reina Sofía museum, the best urban art can be found at La Tabacalera, and works by trailblazing artists are shown at La Neomudéjar. Foodies will want to try one of the best set menus in the city at Coque, or grab a bite of France at the Instituto Francés de Madrid.
