All delivery dates are subject to EU laws on driving time. We can confirm the timing prior to any booking.
European Premium Service
A direct service combines Matthew James’ service of excellence with the added advantage of a dedicated collection date and express delivery timescale. Handling of your effects is minimised as they remain on the same vehicle throughout. Although your delivery will be carried out in conjunction with other clients consignments, this means you will share the cost of the vehicle and your consignment will be prioritised for onward delivery typically within 7-10 days of collection.

Reasons to relocate to Lucerne
Transport is extremely efficient throughout Switzerland, and Lucerne is no exception. A good investment is a Halbtax Travelcard as this will entitle you to half-price travel on all national rail routes and many local services. The VBL trolleybus system and bus network run regularly, and many routes operate to neighbouring villages. There isn’t an underground or tram line operating in the city, but there really isn’t need for one when the bus system is so efficient. The city is well connected via overground train lines. For example, a direct train to Zurich from Lucerne Station (one of the largest in the country) will take you just over an hour! And booking in advance means you will only have to part with £12 per trip. Driving is certainly an option when it comes to getting around the city and surrounding areas, as it doesn’t really suffer from a congestion problem.
Most people in Lucerne prefer to rent than buy properties. And whilst this might not be as expensive as, say, properties in Geneva or Zurich, you should be made aware that the Swiss love tax. There are taxes for anything from dogs to radio and television licences (even if you don’t own either in your house). Typical family areas include Oberseeburg and Neustadt due to its playgrounds and quieter atmosphere. Hochwacht offers the city life, with the old town and lake on your doorstep. Two of the best known international schools are the international school of Zug & Lucerne and the Four Forest Bilingual School.
No resident in Lucerne has a complete experience of the city unless they take a trip to Mount Pilatus, which can be accessed by the worlds steepest cogwheel railway. It is a stunning 2,128 metre mountain to the south of the city, and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the country. The old town is a tourist and local favourite, and a day exploring the lake that the city gets its name from is a must!Oh, and the famous Chapel Bridge is stupendous.
